So yesterday I went and got my hair cut at this place right down the way from Papa Joe’s pizza joint. The place I went is called West Side Cuts I think. At any rate, it was cheap (10 bux), and the guy really did a good job. Actually, not counting the times I’ve shaved my head bald, I got one of the best haircuts I’ve received since living in Erie. And possibly the coolest fucking thing was that the barber didn’t even attempt to chat it up with me during the haircut. There’s nothing more annoying than a barber asking me stupid shit trying to make small talk while he’s cutting my hair. I’m not paying the cat to be my pallsy-walsy, I’m paying him or her to mow the headlawn.
So that was my big excitement yesterday. To be honest, getting a good haircut was far more life affirming than watching two representatives from competing factions of the ruling party argue over the particulars of managing empire on the tv last night. That shit was seriously harshing my mellow by the time it was over. I have no doubt I’ll watch the other debates hoping for some inspiration so I can enthusiastically get behind my candidate of choice…but as of this writing I’m feeling pretty apathetic about the whole thing. Well, I guess not all that apathetic or I’d be writing about the weather or how the way the T key sticking on my keyboard is about to drive me apeshit and lead to a frenzy of repeatted smashing of said keyboard off the unsuspecting radiator in this room.
Or, you know, were I all that apathetic towards the polittical specttacle I could just write about my haircutt.
Now, Mr. Radiator, this is going to hurtt me alot more than it hurts you…

Hey,
That’s great that you tried that new barbershop on West 8th St.-West Side Cuts. I’ve been trying to encourage my husband to try there as well. I’ll have to have him read your post! I know Mike at Papa Joes also went there and also took his kids. His review was also favorable. It’s good to patronize a new startup business. These guys want to get involved with being good neighbors[they've joined the neighborhood watch all ready] and good businessmen. Thanks for your post on that place. Anytime I have been past there it seems there are always patrons in the chairs too, so they must be doing a good job giving cuts.
Yeah, I was having a hard time finding a good place to get my haircut. Warners did a pretty good job but they always wanted an appointment. Ugh. So I wound up going to Russo’s on State street, but it was kind of hit and miss there, I got butchered a couple of times at that place. This new place was much better, my only complaint being that now I’ve got two big scabs on my neck from the barber moshing me with the clippers on accident. Still, if I wind up in town long enough to warrant another haircut I’ll definately go there again.
